Quality promotion is seen in comprehensive terms as including not only external quality assurance but also internal quality management within a practice or other institution. The aim of quality promotion in the field of dento-maxillo-facial care is ongoing improvement of dental care provision and hence of the population's oral health by means of effective preventive and therapeutic measures, as well as the preservation of oral structures and improvement of oral-health-related quality of life for individual patients. The ZZQ assists its host organizations in the development and implementation of quality promotion, quality management and quality assurance measures.
